AP govt appoints 8 State Technical Coordinators to keep an eye on social media news on schemes

The YSRCP government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly appointed the Technical Coordinators on contract basis initially for a period of one year to look after Social media, Digital media, Electronic media and Monitoring of multimedia and update the Chief Minister's Office from time to time as per instructions and to work in the Centralized Communication and Coordination wing. The general administration and department have released a notification to this extent on Friday.

As per the notification, Sri Chekuri Kiran, Sri Jakkam Sudhakar Reddy, Sri Malladi Sandeep Kumar, Sri A. Linga Reddy, Sri K.P. Prasad Reddy, Sri I. Narayana Reddy, Sri G. Dasarath Rami Reddy, Sri Y. Rajashekar Reddy is appointed as state technical coordinators.

The above-mentioned coordinators are hereby notified as State Technical coordinators who were merely called as Technical coordinators where they have have to promote the various Government welfare and developmental activities including highlighting the concept and themes of the prestigious programme of Navaratnalu to avail its benefits by the needy people across the State.

However, the state Technical Coordinators were appointed as contract basis and will be paid a monthly remuneration of Rs.75,000/- per month. The State Technical Coordinators would be assigned with the following duties and responsibilities.

1. External Communication:- Monitoring of massages disseminated through paid, owned or earned media by taking Government schemes to the beneficiaries intended.

2. Internal Communication:- Coordinating by planned massages disseminated to departments through a variety of communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, posters etc., through emails.

3. Public Relations Research:- Report to Secretaries, if any instance of certain Print, Electronic and Social Media is deliberately trying to tarnish the image of Government and Government officials by spreading false, baseless and defamatory news with mala-fide interest.

4. State Administration:- By coordinating with the concerned, whether all the Government welfare schemes reach to the intended beneficiaries from State level to ground level.

• Monitoring of outdoor Branding of Government welfare schemes.

• Monitoring of Government websites updating timely.

5. Coordinating and communicating public grievances received via social media to the concerned.

6. Monitor and Coordinate with all Departments to make sure the Government policies takes top seat in Digital media.

7. Analyzing the outreach (analytics) of Government policies in Social and Digital Media platforms and prepare a detailed report and submit to Chief Minister's Office timely.
