AP minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy hails archers’ Asian Games gold
Andhra Pradesh Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and SAAP Chairman Ravi Naidu have congratulated India’s women’s compound archery team after its reported gold-medal win at the 2026 Asian Games.
India defeated China 238–234 in the final. Reddy praised the team’s performance and singled out Andhra Pradesh archer Vennam Jyothi Surekha, congratulating her on winning four Asian Games gold medals across the 2023–26 period.
Naidu also congratulated Surekha and her teammates Chikita Tanapa and Prathika Pradeep. He said Surekha’s achievements had brought recognition to India and Andhra Pradesh, and made her an inspiration to young athletes. Reddy expressed hope that Indian competitors would win further medals in future events.
