APSRTC East Godavari region has devised a plan to operate as many as 319 special services in connection with Sankranti festival to ferry the commuters to their native places from other parts of the state

Rajamahendravaram: APSRTC East Godavari region has devised a plan to operate as many as 319 special services in connection with Sankranti festival to ferry the commuters to their native places from other parts of the state.

The special buses will be operated from January 8th to 13th from the depots of Rajamahendravaram, Eleswaram, Gokavaram, Kakinada, Tuni, Razole, Ravulapalem, Amalapuram and Ramachandrapuram.

According to regional manager N Nageswara Rao, the buses from the depots will be operated to Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and from the same cities to the depots in return direction.

The number of special services allotted to Hyderabad is 106, Bangalore three buses, Chennai three buses, Vijayawada 108 buses, Visakhapatnam 84 buses and 12 buses to other districts.

At present as many as 579 scheduled services are in operation daily from the district. Reservation facility available to the special services with additional charge, he averred.
