Ongole: Based on the instructions from the Union Finance Minister, the banks are organizing common customer outreach program in Markapuram on October 5 and in Ongole on October 7, to identify eligible candidates to distribute loans under various schemes.

In the press meet, held in the CPO hall on Tuesday, the Collector explained that the bankers will set up stalls at Madhuri Grand Inn at Markapuram on October 5 and at Bacchala Balaiah Kalyanamandapam in Ongole on October 7 and explains the public about various loans being offered by them.

He said that Customer Outreach Program will be held in 400 districts in the country from October 3 to 7 and all 490 branches of various banks in the district will distribute loans to the eligible.

In the bankers meet held in the Zonal Office of Andhra Bank in Ongole in the morning, the zonal manager P Ramakrishna explained the NABARD AGM V Venkata Ramana, Lead District Manager (Syndicate Bank) MV Sudhakar, SBI RM V Krishna Mohan, Syndicate Bank RM T Ramakrishna, APGB RM P Obaiah, Andhra Bank AGM N Ganesh, RUDSETI Director GS Murthy and managers from other banks that the union finance minister has suggested the chairmen, MDs and CEOs of the banks that due to the inflation, there is no much growth in the market and advised them to let money flow into the market by offering loans to increase the purchasing capacity of the public.

He said that the government has appointed Andhra Bank for the coordination of the Customer Outreach Program in the Prakasam district. As part of the program, he explained that the banks will issue loans to customers, small and medium scale industries and nonbanking institutions for the needs of agriculture, housing, vehicle, and other personal loans.
