BJP policies resulting in job loss: CPM
CPM state leader Ch Babu Rao said that lakhs of people lost employment as a result of the BJP government’s policies and recession caused by them.
Vijayawada: CPM state leader Ch Babu Rao said that lakhs of people lost employment as a result of the BJP government's policies and recession caused by them. Addressing a gathering at Leela Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Thursday, Babu Rao said that with the Central government policies, workers and laborers were losing their employment.
They were in neck deep debts and were starving, he lamented. Rao said that the situation of small businessmen was also bad with fall in business activities. Babu Rao questioned the Central government as how the banks were giving loans to businessmen who were defaulters to the tune of crores of rupees.
He found fault with YSRCP and TDP for not raising their voice against the central government. It was nothing but supporting BJP policies, he felt. He recalled that for the last six months the construction labor were facing deep trouble due to acute shortage of sand and demanded that the state government provide Rs 10,000 per month compensation to the construction labor.
Babu Rao said they would stage a Rasta Roko on October 16 and appealed to the workers and people to participate in the protest in huge number and make it a success.
