Vijayawada: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram issued orders to Guntur district police to register criminal cases against the outsiders, who entered the Assembly premises without taking permission from the Assembly officials when TDP leaders staged a protest near the Assembly gate on Thursday.

It may be recalled that a scuffle took place between the TDP leaders including N Chandrababu Naidu, MLC Nara Lokesh, other party leaders and marshals when the TDP leaders tried to storm the Assembly premises through the main gate with placards.

The marshals opposed the entry of TDP leaders with placards and asked them to leave the placards and badges outside the gate.

The TDP staged a protest against GO No.2430 which aimed at curbing the media. The TDP leaders reportedly made some objectionable comments against the marshals on the occasion.

Responding to the incident, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram issued orders to inquire into the incident and register criminal cases for violation of rules. He informed the Assembly on Friday that he directed the Guntur district police to take action against those who violated rules. He said some outsiders joined the protest of Chandrababu Naidu and forcibly entered the Assembly premises.
