Book on Indian knowledge systems released at SPMVV

Tirupati: Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) Vice-Chancellor Prof V Uma has formally released the book ‘Indian Knowledge Systems: Heritage of a Timeless Civilization’. It was authored by BN Neelima, Professor in Department of Communication and Journalism and Director of the Central Networking Facility at SPMVV. The book has been published by Westville Publishing House. The Vice-Chancellor has appreciated the author’s effort in presenting diverse aspects of India’s knowledge traditions in a coherent and engaging manner.
Designed especially for beginners and young learners, the book offers an accessible introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems, covering themes such as the Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas, Indian philosophy, ancient contributions to science and mathematics, aesthetics, performing arts, language and literature.
Author Neelima described the book as a ‘labour of love’ and a humble attempt to present India’s timeless wisdom as a living and evolving body of knowledge. She observed that Indian Knowledge Systems are not merely remnants of the past but dynamic frameworks that continue to offer meaningful insights into contemporary life.
