In Short
Addressing a press conference at his camp office, MLA Kotla dismissed YSRCP’s allegations that the ruling party had obstructed the voting process, labeling the claims completely baseless.

Dhone: Dhone MLA Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy on Sunday accused former minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy of resorting to political drama under the pretext of an election boycott, fearing impending defeat in the Dhone Municipality and Bethamcherla Nagar Panchayat elections.
Addressing a press conference at his camp office, MLA Kotla dismissed YSRCP’s allegations that the ruling party had obstructed the voting process, labeling the claims completely baseless. Questioning the rationale behind the boycott, the MLA asked why YSRCP candidates had filed nominations in the first place if they were unwilling to participate.
He argued that the boycott decision was abruptly taken only after polling had crossed 25 percent and YSRCP leaders realized their candidates were heading for a clear defeat.
Kotla further alleged that Buggana was attempting to stall approximately Rs 50 crore worth of civic development projects initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Dhone and Bethamcherla.
He charged YSRCP leaders with intentionally misleading both the public and the Election Commission because they were unable to digest the rapid developmental progress being executed in the region. The MLA also accused opposition leaders of blatantly violating election guidelines by mobilizing outsiders from neighboring areas to conduct rallies and raise provocative slogans to influence voters.
Questioning whether a former finance minister was ignorant of model code norms, Kotla advised Buggana to practice democratic principles before offering commentary. He affirmed that polling across the constituency remained by and large peaceful without any untoward events.
