Tirupati: To collect more samples for Covid test, five mobile swab collection vehicles have reached Chittoor district. Among these 'intelligent monitoring analysis service quarantine' (iMASQ) buses, two were deployed at Tamil Nadu and Karnataka borders while two others are now kept in Tirumala and Tirupati.

The remaining bus will go to different containment zones to collect swabs from people residing there. DM&HO Dr M Penchalaiah told The Hans India that 'Vera Smart Healthcare, Hyderabad' has provided these buses. They collect samples from people and give to testing labs at Ruia and SVIMS.

For each sample they will be paid Rs 25. With this, Covid tests can be done fast and the results will come out quickly. With the arrangements provided in the bus, more samples can be collected in a relative short time which can help in identifying Covid cases.

This will help in taking containment steps immediately preventing further spread of the virus. The government's aim of taking tests and services to doorstep of people will be fulfilled with these vehicles.

On Friday, the DM&HO and DWAMA P D Chandra Sekhar have examined the sample collection points in the iMASQ vehicle.
