Vijayawada: As many as 27 Kuchipudi dancers of Sri Nartana Kuchupudi Arts Academy, Vijayawada under the guidance of dance master Maddali Sai Chandika performed Kuchipudi at Rishikesh, Triveni Ghat during Ganga harati time on July 17, according to Sai Chandrika on Thursday. Later, the dancers performed at Kedarnath.
Sai Chandrika in a release said that any dancer or dancing troupe had never performed till now at Reshikesh or Kedarnath. Dancers from Sri Nartana Kuchupudi Arts Academy led by Sai Chandrika were lucky to get the opportunity to perform at the holy places Reshikesh and Kedarnath for the first time.
She said that the 27 member dance troupe left for Kedarnath on July 14 from Vijayawada. The dancers who performed are M Swathi, U Ujwala Sai, Lasya, Venkatesh, Deepanvitha, Mohanvitha, Sravani, Sairam, Meena, Sukruthi, Pragathi and others, said Sai Chandrika.
