Minister for Water Resources P Anil Kumar Yadav said that the High Court gave verdict on Hydropower project of the Polavaram Project.
Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources P Anil Kumar Yadav said that the High Court gave verdict on Hydropower project of the Polavaram Project. Speaking to the mediapersons here on Saturday, he said that the government would take decision by taking into consideration the opinion of the Centre.
The contract company Navayuga took mobilisation advance for hydropower project and it approached the court for it. He said that the Chief Minister would take a decision on the Polavaram Project contract issue. He alleged that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu utilised the project as ATM.
He took strong objection to the comments made by Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu on conspiracy behind the flood regulation. Nearly 46 tmcft water was released for Rayalaseema districts through Pothireddypadu, he said. It could not be a possibility if the flood was shifted to Nagarjuna Sagar as per the allegations of Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
The Water Resources Minister said that Naidu went to Hyderabad for some days before the flood by getting prior information on the severity of the floodwater. He said that Chandrababu Naidu was concerned over the inundation threat to his residence. The farmers were happy with full water storage in reservoirs, he said.
