Cover all students under Kanti Velugu, Collector directs officials

Anantapur: District Collector S Sathyanarayana instructed the officials to effectively monitor the current screening of school students. He asked them to cover both the government and private school students under the Kanti Velugu programme.
Speaking at an official review meeting, the Collector asked special officers in Assembly constituencies also to monitor YSR Kanti Velugu scheme and also the 'YSR Rythu Bharosa' scheme to be launched on October 15. The DEO should take steps to make sure that all students are covered under the Kanti Velugu scheme. SC, ST, BC welfare officers should see that all hostel students are covered.
On November 14th, all village secretariat staff have to attend an intensive training programme for effective functioning of village secretariats, he said. He advised district officers to supervise implementation of all government schemes by visiting Assembly constituencies frequently.
He stated that the government is giving top priority to the Spandana programme. Issues which do not have financial implications should be resolved instantly, he added. The Collector asked officers to make the Valmiki Jayanthi celebrations on October 13 a success.
