Create awareness among litigants on Alternative Disputes Resolution in Guntur

Guntur: District judge A Hariharnath Sharma said the number of cases in courts will come down if advocates and social activists create awareness among litigants on Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR).
Addressing a meeting held on the district court's premises here on Monday under the aegis of International Centre for Alternative Disputes Resolution Regional Centre, Hyderabad in association with Guntur Bar Association, he appreciated the Guntur Bar Association for taking initiative for conducting the awareness meeting on ADR. He added that if awareness was created on ADR, it will be useful to advocates to solve pending cases in the courts.
District Legal Cell Authority secretary Tejovathi and district advocates association president Chilukuri Narendra Babu were present. Earlier, the International Centre for Alternative Disputes Resolution Regional Centre governing body member and secretary JLN Murthy explained Alternative Disputes Resolution system to the advocates and social activists and clarified their doubts.
