Death toll reaches four in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam district registered the highest single day spike, registering 46 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday.
A total of 87 cases were registered in Visakhapatnam for the past two days. According to official figures, 41 cases were registered on Monday, while 46 cases recorded on Tuesday.
An eerie silence prevailed in very active clusters as the total number of cases in the district has crossed the 500-mark.
This apart, another death also recorded in the district, taking the toll to four. With 46 new cases, the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 530 in the district and five new clusters added to the list.
In Visakhapatnam, very active clusters are 40, active are 42, dormant are 27 and de-notified are 26. The district administration was concerned about the exceptionally growing number of positive cases.
The health officials insist that people should follow social distancing and safety protocols and contribute to the prevention of the virus spread.
The number of testing has also gone up in areas where the positive cases have registered.
