Ongole: The Hyderi Club Ongole Badminton Coach Bontha Ashok Reddy announced that two players taking coaching in their institute have been selected for the national para-badminton tournament, scheduled next month.
The coach said that the Kousavarapu Sathwik won the gold medal in district level under 19 para-badminton tournament held in January at Hyderi Club in Ongole and won gold medals at the state level under 19 tournament in singles and doubles with J Ganesh at Andhra University on February 8 and 9. He said that the two players, Sathwik Paul and Ganesh are selected for the national level under 19 para badminton tournament at Bhuvaneswar in Odisha from March 19 to 22.
The coach Ashok Reddy said that the training for the players will continue so that they would win more medals in the national tournament.
