Nellore: A family from Nellore district's Buchi Reddipalam on Monday raised concerns at the Collectorate that the police were unfairly harassing them. The owner of the family, Vasanthaiah, said that they had land in the Sangam Zone of the Nellore district while the owner of the adjacent farm had been pressurising to sell the property for him. However, the man didn't oblique to it, which led the adjacent landowner to threaten.

Vasanthaiah, who complained to the SP of the district about the same is jolted with cases from the local police. "They have also filed atrocity cases by people who are not related to him," Vasanthaiah said. Vasanthaiah, along with his family members, held a gathering at the Collectorate, asking the Circle, Division and District Police Officers not to take any notice. Subsequently, they issued a memorandum to the authorities at the Collectorate's response function.

The officials assured the victim that the matter would be taken to District Collector, Seshagiribabu. The whole family has become the talk of the town as they have asked to permit them for Euthanasia and held a protest with a huge banner. The district collector is also aware of this and is making inquiries with the concerned officials.
