Bode Prasad, a former MLA of Krishna district's Penamaluru and Telugu Desam Party leader has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Bode Prasad, a former MLA of Krishna district's Penamaluru and Telugu Desam Party leader has been diagnosed with coronavirus. He was diagnosed with the covid-19 after suffering colds, fever and body pains and was tested positive for coronavirus and went into home isolation. Bode Prasad has been touring the villages for past 15 days meeting more people coming to the office. One of his family members was also reportedly tested positive.

Meanwhile, coronavirus cases are on the rise across the state. Corona has already infected three YSR Congress MLAs. While there are huge tests being conducted all over the state and the cases are also increasing at the same level. In the past 24 hours, 20,567 people were tested and 961 positive cases were reported in state and 36 people from other states and one from other countries tested positive. A total of 998 cases were reported on Sunday alone.

The total number of coronavirus cases across the state increased to 18,697. 14 people have died across the state in the past 24 hours. The total death toll was 232. The Health Department said 391 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours taking total to 8,422 while 10,043 people are receiving treatment at the hospital.
