Friendship Day celebrated Lions Club of Ongole
The Lions Club of Ongole Citizens organised Friendship Day celebrations in Gandhi Park at Rangarayudu Tank in Ongole on Sunday.
Ongole: The Lions Club of Ongole Citizens organised Friendship Day celebrations in Gandhi Park at Rangarayudu Tank in Ongole on Sunday. The club president Dr Sk Nyamatulla Basha started the event by tagging the friendship bands to Ln M Prabhakara Rao and other members.
Speaking on the occasion, Nyamatulla Basha said that their club is working in the town for the last 33 years under the International Association of Lions Clubs. He said that friendship should be made without any expectations and it is easy to make a foe but is very hard to be a friend for a life time.
He said that the good habit of working selflessly in the happiness or troubles of others helps us gain friends. He said that the participation in events like friendship day helps us strengthen the band between friends and wished the club members from various walks of life a Happy Friendship Day.
The club secretary Ln Sure Edukondalu, treasurer Ln J Suresh Kumar, Ln Montessori Prakash, Ln Ch Srinivasa Reddy, Ln Rajesh, Ln Iqbal and other members of the club along with the walkers club members also participated in the programme and appreciated the artist for the wonderful dance performance.
