Addressing the gathering at Police Parade Grounds here after launching the online payment system, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he fulfilled his promise and said that the money would be credited into the bank accounts of the victims.

He said that the government had released Rs 263,99,00,983 crore financial assistance to the 3,69,655 AgriGold victims. He said that those who did not get the assistance need not worry, They may enroll their names with the District Legal Cell Authority or at the collectorate or tashildar's offices.

All eligible people would get the assistance, the Chief Minister said. Jagan said that AgriGold scam took place during the regime of TDP government and added that TDP leaders tried to usurp the lands. It was only the YSRCP which opposed all such moves and stood by the victims.

He utilised the occasion to list out the achievements of his government during last five months. He said that they had given 4-lakh jobs, out of which 1.3 lakh are permanent jobs. He said that he had assured Rs 12,500 to the farmers but has increased the amount by another Rs 1,000 and made it as Rs 13,500 every year, for five years.

He said, each farmer will get a benefit of Rs 67,500 in five-years. The government has also extended financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to auto and taxi drivers and had given 50 per cent reservations to the BCs, STs, SCs and minorities in the contracts besides providing 75 per cent local reservations in the private sector.

He further said that due to reverse tender system, the government had saved Rs 830 crore in the Polavaram Project and Rs 50-crore in Veligonda Project. Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita, Minister for Agriculture Marketing Mopidevi Venkata RamanaRao, district in-charge minister Cherukuvada Sri Ranganatha Raju ,MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu, YSRCP floor leader in the Legislative Council Ummareddy Venkateswarulu, were among those who attended the function.
