Governor building getting ready in Vijayawada
Governor's Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena and General Administration Department Secretary RP Sisodia inspected the Governor’s building in Vijayawada city on Thursday.
Vijayawada: Governor's Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena and General Administration Department Secretary RP Sisodia inspected the Governor's building in Vijayawada city on Thursday. The State government already issued orders appointing Mukesh Kumar Meena as Governor's secretary.
According to officials, the Governor will start from Bhuvaneshwar on July 23 and reach Tirupati. He will offer prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swami and later reach Vijayawada and offer prayers at Goddess Kanaka Durga temple.
He will take charge at 11.30 am on July 24. Andhra Pradesh High Court Acting Chief Justice C Praveen Kumar will administer the swearing-in ceremony. In this connection, Mukesh Kumar and Sisodia inspected and reviewed the progress of works to make the building ready for the Governor's residence-cum-office purpose.
GAD Secretary Sisodia said that the Governor will reach Vijayawada on July 24. He said that the works on the Governor's bungalow will be completed by July 23.
