Vows to strengthen Self-Help Groups
Guntur: V Vijaya Lakshmi took over charge as Director of Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas, AP, at the State head office in Guntur city on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that she would give priority to strengthening the Self-Help Groups and implement poverty alleviation programmes and zero interest loans.
She said that she would ensure transparency in implementing the schemes.
Later, she conducted a meeting with officials and reviewed the implementation of various schemes.
MEMPA Additional Director K Siva Parvathi and Finance Manager B Vijaya Bharati were among those present.
