Heat waves to continue for next two days
Krishna district collector Md Imtiaz said that the high temperature and the heat wave would continue for another two days in the district.
Vijayawada: Krishna district collector Md Imtiaz said that the high temperature and the heat wave would continue for another two days in the district. Addressing a teleconference on Thursday, he said people should take precautionary measures and utmost care for the coming two days and appealed to the people to stay indoors from 11 am to 5 pm.
He said the medical and health department should be alert to serve people as the heat wave conditions would continue for two more days. Children and senior citizens are advised not to venture out. He said people should carry umbrellas or wear caps when they go out in the hot sun.
One should take minimum of 5 litres of water a day besides coconut water, lime water and glucose water to withstand the heat. Special medical camps should be set up to serve the people and keep ORS packets handy, he asked the officials.
