Inter student commits suicide in Kurnool
A second year Intermediate student committed suicide by hanging at his hostel room in the early hours on Saturday.

The Circle Inspector of Yemmignur Police station, Sreedhar Raju said to The Hans India that the deceased Mahendra (17) was pursuing his second year Intermediate at Raghavendra Junior College in Yemmiganur.
The student committed suicide by hanging using a nylon rope in the hostel room. The episode was captured by the closed-circuit camera fixed in the hostel room. About a week ago, his father came to the college and scolded him in the presence of his friends, the CI said. Feeling insult, Raghavendra might have taken the extreme step, the CI stated.
The deceased was a resident of Kodumur village but was staying at a BC hostel and pursuing education at Raghavendra Jr College. The suicide incident was informed to the family members and the body was shifted to Yemmiganur General Hospital. After autopsy, the body was handed over to the family members. We have filed a case and took up investigation, added the CI Sreedhar Raju.
