International Literacy Day celebrated in Yerragondapalem
The Yerragondapalem Press Club celebrated the International Literacy Day in the primary school in Regulapalli with students on Saturday.
Yerragondapalem: The Yerragondapalem Press Club celebrated the International Literacy Day in the primary school in Regulapalli with students on Saturday. The press club members said that as part of observing the International Literacy Day (September 8) on Sunday, they distributed slates, books, pens and other stationery items along with the confectionaries to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe students in the school on Saturday.
They said that they have taken up many welfare programs like education, health, tree plantations, etc as part of the social service by the press club earlier and planning more in the future.
The press club vice-presidents Shaikh Vali Saheb, SMD Kalim Basha, Adipi Karunakar, Shaik Mabu Vali, general secretary Shaik Baji, assistant secretaries Shaik Ravoof, Lalu, Shaik Riyaz, treasurer Balakrishna Reddy, campaign secretaries Pathan Rasool Khan, Bachu Anil, Yesebu, Ramu, school headmistress B Bhagyalakshmi, teacher Ch Radha and others also participated in the programme.
