Kakinada: CITU senior leader Duvva Seshubabji said that Samarlakota road widening project should be carried out immediately to prevent the traffic problems and accidents.
The CITU leaders collected signatures on the issue at Ideal College, Samrlakota road on Tuesday. Seshubabji said that district officials and public representatives were using the road regularly.
World Bank had allocated Rs 298 crore for the construction of the road. But the government did not take action to construct the road. CITU city president Palivela Veerababu demanded that the government take up the works immediately to prevent traffic problems and accidents.
