District Collector D Muralidhar said that the state government will conduct the tender process transparently constituency-wise for the procurement of material required for the construction of houses under the Navaratnalu ‘Pedalandariki Illu’ programme
Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar said that the state government will conduct the tender process transparently constituency-wise for the procurement of material required for the construction of houses under the Navaratnalu 'Pedalandariki Illu' programme.
He conducted the District Tender Committee meeting along with Joint Collectors Dr G Lakshmisha and Keerthi Chekuri at Collectorate on Wednesday. He said that the construction of houses will also take place in parallel with the distribution of 1.48 lakh housing plots for the first phase in the district on December 25.
He said some construction materials would be supplied at the state-level and some material would have to be assembled at the district-level. He directed the officials to complete the preparatory process for 60 per cent of the houses on the basis of constituency-wise tenders.
He instructed the officials to ensure that more people participate in bidding and arrange pre-bidding meetings. He clarified that quality material should be available at low cost and housing should be done in line with the objectives.
