The coronavirus pandemic has created a panic situation in Kanipakam temple with a case of COVID-19 being reported.
The coronavirus pandemic has created a panic situation in Kanipakam temple with a case of COVID-19 being reported. The authorities have banned the darshan after coronavirus case has been reported. Temple officials said they had cancelled the darshans for two days. A total of 60 samples were performed tests with one appearing positive. District officials were alarmed by this.
The Kanipakam Temple was opened with devotees practising social distances in wearing masks. Despite all the rules, Coronavirus has not spared. Therefore, the temple EO issued orders to shut the temple. Recently, the Srikalahasti temple has come to a halt and stopped darshans amid Coronavirus cases.
Devotees coming to Kanipakam with the opening of the temple are disappointed over the latest development. Meanwhile, the total number of positive cases in the state so far has reached 5087 with 236 new cases on Monday.
