The Bharatiya Janata Party has defended the arrest of TDP MLA Atchannaidu in the ESI scam case.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has defended the arrest of TDP MLA Atchannaidu in the ESI scam case. BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that whoever resorts to corruption needs to be probed and arrested. Speaking to the media on Friday, he said that the last TDP government has resorted to corruption. Lakshminarayana recalled YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's words spoke at the time of elections saying that he would take action against corrupt people. The BJP state president has also demanded the government to probe into the corruption over sand mafia and take action against the perpetrators.
On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Laxmipathi Raja has said that Atchannaidu's role in the ESI scam has been proven. He made clear that the guilty should be punished. He demanded the recovery of the corrupt money from Atchannaidu. The Prime Minister's name is not tolerated in the ESI scam. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is cheap tricks saying that Atchannaidu is kidnapped.
The Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths, after probing into the Rs 975.79 cr worth allegations have unearthed various violations including fabricated quotations, purchase of drugs, lab kits, surgical items, furniture and other services, in which then Minister and TDP sitting MLA Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was arrested on Friday.
