  • Association district chief Dande Dastagiri says students will suffer in future if they fail to produce complete records of education while applying for jobs

Kurnool: The district president of Andhra Pradesh Private Schools Association, Dande Dastagiri said the government's decision to allow admission of students without Transfer Certificate (TC) in government schools was not a correct one. He met district education officer (DEO) M Sairaim along with other leaders of the association at Nandyal and submitted a representation on Tuesday.

Dastagiri told the media later that the government had announced that any student studying in private schools and was seeking admission in government schools can join it with the consent letter from their parents and there was no need to submit any certificate pertaining to their earlier education. He said such decision would adversely impact on the career of the student in future.

"A student after completion of education would naturally apply for a government job. If he is selected then the employer would definitely demand study certificates, transfer certificates and record sheets pertaining to previous education. He will face the consequences if he can't produce them. The TC, record sheet and study certificates play a vital role in the student's life without which the students have to face lot of problems in future," Dastagiri added and urged the government to be flexible in taking decisions and implementing the orders.

Another leader, Ravindranath, said that the budget schools were facing huge problems. On several occasions the issue was taken to the notice of higher authorities but it was not resolved. He said the problems of budget schools, fee regulatory committee and GO MS No.1 were taken to the notice of DEO M Sai Ram.

Ravindranath said the DEO promised to resolve the problems of the budget schools as well as assuring that he would see private schools face no problems from the government.

Political wing leader Padakandla Subramaniam and headmasters of various private schools from across the district were present.
