Kurnool: Land survey will end tampering of records says Collector G Veera Pandiyan

Kurnool: District Collector G Veera Pandiyan has said that the issues pertaining to land disputes including tampering of records will be resolved through Jaganna Shaswatha Bhu Hakku–Bhu Raksha scheme. The government has prestigiously introduced the system to safeguard the rights of landowners, he said.
The collector along with the MLAs of Kodumur, Panyam and Kurnool, Dr J Sudhakar, Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, M A Hafeez Khan, Joint Collector Rama Sunder Reddy, Municipal Commissioner D K Balaji launched the scheme at Pandipadu village in Kallur mandal on Tuesday.
Later addressing the gathering, the collector said the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the programme on his birthday to permanently resolve land disputes and protect the interests of landowners. With the scheme, the issues pertaining to the lands would come to an end totally.
"This is an historical event in the history of Andhra Pradesh," he said. The collector said the resurvey process would be conducted in 919 villages across the district and officials of revenue, survey, panchayat raj, municipal and Survey of India departments would conduct survey in 36 lakh acres pertaining to 8 lakh farmers in 4.61 lakh survey numbers.
He appealed to the people to support the officials while conducting the survey. The collector further said that the surveyors and village revenue officers (VROs) have been trained for six months to conduct surveys in transparent manner with the help of drone and rover.
The actual landowners would be rendered immediate justice and they need not make rounds to the collector and Tahsildar's office. The actual landowners would be given passbooks along with title deed. The surveying details would be furnished at grama sabha and would be displayed at village secretariats, said the collector.
The persons having doubts are suggested to submit an application pertaining to the issue. The applicants would be rendered justice through mobile court after the submission of application. Mobile courts are being set up at every mandal for the same. If the problems are not resolved at the mobile court, then they will be resolved at district level tribunal, stated the collector.
Panyam MLA Katasani Rambupal Reddy said he was very happy that the surveying process started at Pandipadu village in Kallur mandal of Panyam constituency. He thanked the Chief Minister and district collector for selecting Panyam constituency for resurveying lands. He hoped a full stop could be put to land disputes with the resurvey.
Joint collector Ram Sundar Reddy said that till date we were depending upon the survey records conducted by the Britishers during 1894-1920. With the fresh resurvey scheme, a peaceful atmosphere would be restored in all villages, stated the Joint Collector.
