The police have seized Rs 1.9 crore cash during a raid by the Special Enforcement Bureau at the Panchalingala check post near Kurnool.
The police have seized Rs 1.9 crore cash during a raid by the Special Enforcement Bureau at the Panchalingala check post near Kurnool. Koneru Ram Chowdhary from Maruthinagar in Anantapur and Ranganaikalu from Guntakal are coming from Hyderabad to Kurnool in a Kuppam depot bus. According to intelligence sources, Circle Inspector Lakshmidurga and his staff stopped the bus and found Rs 1.9 crore in cash in their bags.
The cash was seized and handed over to the local Kurnool Urban Police Station for not showing any documents related to the cash. While int1errogating Ram Chowdhary, he told the police that he had gone to Hyderabad to buy a farm land and was going home with the money as the price negotiation could not be reached.
However, the police have registered a case and are awaiting an inquiry. Full details are yet to be ascertained.
