Kurnool: Speed up Mana Badi, Naadu-Nedu works, officials told

Kurnool: District Collector G Veera Pandiyan has ordered the officials concerned to speed up and complete the works of Mana Badi, Naadu-Nedu by December 14.
He held a review meeting on the progress of works of Mana Badi and Naadu-Nedu at Sunaina Auditorium here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Veera Pandiyan said the officials should pay special attention on the construction of works pertaining to Mana Badi, Naadu-Nedu, village and ward secretariats, Rythu Bharosa Centres, Anganwadi Centres and YSR Health Clinic buildings.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is giving priority to the education and medical sectors, he pointed out. "The Chief Minister wants to change the atmosphere of government schools so that the students can pursue education in a vibrant atmosphere," the Collector said.
He said callousness on part of officials in execution of works will not be tolerated. Veera Pandiyan instructed that the works should be completed without compromising the quality and within the given time period. The officials are ordered to upload the bills of the works done without delay.
Earlier, Joint Collector Rama Sunder Reddy said the construction of toilets has to be completed on priority basis. the bills pertaining to electrical wiring, fitting of fans, drinking water facility and some other repair works should be uploaded online. The officials also reviewed the progress of works in schools mandal wise.
Suspension orders served: Collector Veera Pandiyan has instructed the District Education Officer M Sai Ram to serve suspension orders to Subramaniam, the Head aster of Sunnipenta government project high school for his alleged negligence with regard to Mana Badi and Naadu-Nedu works. Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) Project Officer (PO) Venugopal, DWMA Project Director Amarnath Reddy, Panchayati Raj Superintending Engineer Subramaniam, Deputy EOs, EEs, DEs, MEOs, AEs, Headmasters and others participated.
