Need to enhance tourism potential stressed

Narasaraopet: Palnadu district collector Kritika Shukla inspected the Nagarjuna Sagar tourist destination on Tuesday and reviewed the ongoing development works.

She visited the Nagarjunakonda Museum and examined the ancient Buddhist sculptures, emphasising the need to enhance tourism potential in the region.

She directed to initiate boating services from Nagarjuna Sagar to Srisailam, modernise facilities at Haritha Resorts, introduce small boats for tourists, and develop water sports activities. She also instructed officials to expedite works being undertaken under the Swadesh Darshan Challenge-Based Destination Development scheme.

She directed the concerned officials to complete all tourism development works on priority and ensure improved amenities to attract more visitors. RDO Murali Krishna, APTDC DE Kumar, tahsildar Kiran Kumar were present.
