Pedapudi: The East Godavari civil Supplies authorities raided the premises of shop number 3 at Atchutapuratrayaam village in Pedapudi Mandal on Friday.
On a tip of information, the officials raided the shop and found 33.68 quintals of PDS rice, 36 kilos of sugar and 32 litres of palm oil short from the stock registers.
As the dealer Ratnavalli is not in the premises the civil supplies authorities verified the stocks in the presence of her husband Tatapudi Rambabu and noticed the shortage of stocks of March allotment.
The civil supplies authorities registered a case under 6 A of 1955 civil supplies act and seized the premises.
