Raghu Ramakrishna Raju reply to Show Cause Notice issued by YSRCP
YSRCP MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju gave a reply to the show-cause notice issued by the party to him on Thursday.
Amaravati: YSRCP MP K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju gave a reply to the show-cause notice issued by the party to him on Thursday. In the reply, he maintained that he was not responding to the show cause notice but only replying. Raju stated that it could not be considered as the show cause notice and hence he was not responding to that. The MP also asked the National General Secretary V Vijayasai Reddy to clarify on certain issues.
Raju explained that Vijayasai Reddy didn't have authority to issue show-cause notice. Further, he explained that it is not YSRCP as claimed by Vijayasai Reddy, but it is Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and it has a regional character. He said that the letterhead in which the party issued show-cause notice lacked legal sanctity when written as YSR Congress Party instead of actual and exact party name as Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party as per the Election Commission of India.
Questioning the authority of Vijayasai Reddy in issuing a show-cause notice, Raju maintained that the show cause notice only could be issued by the Disciplinary Committee. Expressing a doubt on it, Raju asked Vijayasai Reddy, "Have you served the show cause notice in the capacity of National General Secretary? If so I doubt the authority vested in this chair with all regards as per the Party Constitution that was submitted by our party to ECI". As per the bye-law of the party, it has to be constituted a disciplinary committee. Raju asked whether the ECI has recognised that committee and notified it? If so, provide the details, he demanded.
He stated that Vijayasai Reddy was claiming himself as a National General Secretary to the Registered State Recognised Party.
Raju stated that "I reserve my right to respond on the contents of show cause notice and inform that I would stand obligated to answer only upon party establishing that there is a Disciplinary Committee and the procedure stipulated to and notified by ECI were strictly adhered to in word and spirit".
The MP also warned that, if Vijayasai Reddy was not authorised to issue show cause notice, then he will face legal action. Raju also lashed at the Vijayasai Reddy by stating that later was more harming the party than anyone else by violating with impunity and militating against the spirit of democracy.
