Rajamahendravaram: TDP former corporator Dwara Parvathi Sundari has said that former YSRCP corporator Medapati Sharmila Reddy has no right to criticise MLA Adireddy Bhavani, who is no match in any aspect to the corporator.

Speaking to reporters at the Press Club here on Thursday, she said YSRCP leader cannot compare herself with the MLA. How can the government start a Disha police station while the Disha Bill is yet to get the nod of the Central government to make it as an Act, she questioned. The President of India has also to give his assent if the law has to become an Act, she added. She said that till the Disha police stations cannot be setup.

Sundari said that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy did a good thing by bringing Disha Act for the safety of women and children. The Act gives protection for women and ensures speedy justice for them, if they are attacked. However, at the same time, the cases are not being registered under Disha Act. So, the comments on the Disha Act by the MLA are not wrong, she added.
