Red sanders logs worth 60 lakh seized; 3 held
The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel and Chittoor police nabbed 3 smugglers and caught a four-wheeler after a chase and seized 45 red sanders logs and two vehicles worth Rs 60 lakh from them near Yadamari on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media at Police Guest House, ASP Krishnarjuna Rao said that police and RSASTF men have tried to stop a vehicle while conducting checks on Chittoor and Chennai National Highway. But the smugglers did not stop vehicle and sped past them, he explained and said police chased the vehicle and caught smugglers.
They were identified as K Nagaraju (31), M Mahesh (20) and K Mallikarjuna and all of them residents of Kadapa district. A case was registered, and the accused were sent to judicial remand. The ASP presented awards for the police and the task force personnel for arresting the smugglers. RSASTF DSP Giridhar and other police officials were present.
