SVU secures place in top 250 in Times Asia's rankings
“Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) ranked in top 201-250 in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings– 2019, varsity authorities informed the media on Thursday.
Tirupati: "Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) ranked in top 201-250 in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings– 2019, varsity authorities informed the media on Thursday. The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2019 use the same 13 performance indicators used by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, but they are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia's institutions.
The varsities are judged across all their core missions– teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook–to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available. This set of criteria, developed in consultation with regional experts and stakeholders, is designed to reflect key priorities for universities in Asia, drawing on as much available data as possible. 400 universities have been featured this year.
On this occasion, Prof VVN Rajendra Prasad, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) shared his happiness over the SVU secured a rank of 201-250 in Asia University Rankings. SVU got 27.2 in citations, 34.6 in industry outcome, 19.1 in international outlook, 12.1 in research and 43.7 in teaching. The V-C congratulated all teaching, non-teaching staff, research students and PG students and all other concerned in getting this achievement.
