Andhra Pradesh government launched a prestigious Disha police station in Rajahmundry on Saturday to deal with the crimes against the women in the state. Meanwhile, TDP MLA Adireddy Bhavani has lodged a complaint with the police at the Rajahmundry Disha police station alleging that she has been assaulted on social media.

In the complaint, she requested the police to take action against those who made derogatory comments on her on social media. Former TDP MLAs, leaders and women activists, including TDP female president Vangalapudi Anita and MLA Vigula Jogheswara Rao, have come to the police station to support the MLA.

However, the DSP has asserted MLA that the Disha Act has not come into effect yet, which led to arguments between the TDP group and DSP. Later, MLA Bhavani fumed over the government for its tall claims on the implementation of the Disha Act.
