Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy chairman Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi has said that Telugu language, Telugu literature, Telugu tradition and culture are a glaring example for the richness of Telugu people.

Participating in a meeting held at Anam Rotary Hall under the aegis of Philanthropic Society by Telugu Basha Parirakshana Samithi president Dr Gutam Swamy here on Monday, she said learning of mother language was must for everyone and Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy introduced English medium in government schools for the benefit of children.

Giving prizes by recognizing the importance of Telugu literature wa a good thing and underlined the need to continue it, she added.

MP Margani Bharat, Sahtiya Academy member Dr Kattimanda Pratap, YSRCP leader G Babu, Dr Sheik Rasool and others were present. Telugu Basha Parirakshana Samithi felicitated 24 Telugu literary personalities in the name of Godavari Sahithi Pattabhishekam.
