Tirupati: Kobelco India inaugurates additional production unit in Sri City
Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI) Private Limited, the Indian arm of the Japanese Kobelco Group, inaugurated additional production unit at Sri City on Thursday.
Tirupati: Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI) Private Limited, the Indian arm of the Japanese Kobelco Group, inaugurated additional production unit at Sri City on Thursday.
In a formal ceremony, Kazuhide Naraki, Global Chairman, Kobelco Construction Machinery declared the additional production unit inauguration in the presence of Koji Nakagawa, Managing Director & CEO, KCEI, Yoshio Nishida, Director, Operations, Deepak Kacker, Vice President, Factory Operations and Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City.
Speaking on the occasion, Koji Nakagawa appreciated the dedicated services of the staff for keeping up the production in tune with the market needs. He said in August the unit produced the 10,000 hydraulic excavators. Addressing the gathering Kazuhide Naraki said, "We started our operations in India nine years ago and since then we are being given excellent support by Sri City.
With the manufacturing capacity almost hitting its upper limit, we have gone for this expansion, and now onwards the plant will have an annual production capacity of 3600 units per annum.'' At Sri City plant KCEI manufactures hydraulic excavators and crawler cranes of different models & capacities.
