Tirupati: TTD Additional EO takes charge as MD of SVBC
Now it is official. TTD Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy has been appointed as SVBC managing director. He took charge as Managing Director of SVBC channel at its office near Alipiri here on Wednesday.
Tirupati: Now it is official. TTD Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy has been appointed as SVBC managing director. He took charge as Managing Director of SVBC channel at its office near Alipiri here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharma Reddy said he will do justice to the additional responsibilities given to him and urged the employees of SVBC to do their best to develop the channel as the best devotional channel.
He also thanked the SVBC board,TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy and also the TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal for the confidence reposed in him to discharge his duties in this post.
Reddy said he would take adequate steps to telecast the programmes which enhance the glory of Sri Venkateswara Sevas, Utsavams, etc., at Tirumala and other local temples of TTD, holy places etc., with more quality to reach out the devotees world over.
SVBC CEO Venkat Nagesh, COO A C Sri and TTD projects liaison officer Venkat Sharma also participated. It may be noted here that after the sudden resignation of film comedian turned politician R Prudhvi Raj from the post of SVBC chairman decided to appoint a senior TTD official to head the satellite channel instead appointing a new chairman.
Prudhvi Raj following serious allegations against him forced to quit the post leading to rumous making round on the appointment of new chairman but the government preferred to give one more post additionally to Dharma Reddy enjoying strong clout in the YSRCP government. Accordingly, TTD Executive Officer appointed Dharma Reddy with the approval of the government as SVBC managing director.
