Vijayawada: Amruta Hastam, which is serving food to the migrant workers and other poor people during lockdown has completed 80 days of service on Thursday. Amruta Hastam, an NGO, in association with other NGOs distributed food, butter milk, drinking water and fruits to thousands of migrant workers travelling in the trains.

Thousands of workers have received the food at the Vijayawada Railway station. It may be noted that the Railways are running special Sramik trains for the convenience of migrant workers and workers are going to various destinations.

Karuna Sri, organizer of Amruta Hastam said that the organization distributed food at 35 places to the poor in Krishna and Guntur districts. Thousands of migrant workers passing on the national highway via Vijayawada received food, water, butter milk and fruits at the Benz Circle and Ramavappadu Ring junction from Amruta Hastam, said Karuna Sri.

She announced the service activities will continue till migrant workers problems solved totally.
