Director General of Police D Gautam Sawang presented the Award for the Best Crime Detection (ABCD awards) to 103 police personnel from the constable to DSP level for achievement in Crime detection at the State police office on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: Director General of Police D Gautam Sawang presented the Award for the Best Crime Detection (ABCD awards) to 103 police personnel from the constable to DSP level for achievement in Crime detection at the State police office on Wednesday.
The State police department presents the awards quarterly. The awards were presented for the last two quarters of the 2019 and the first quarter of the 2020.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said the Andhra Pradesh police won the appreciation from the Prime Minister for outstanding services and achievements using modern technology. He recalled the AP police won 26 national awards for adopting innovative technology in the country.
He presented the cash awards and merit certificates to the police personnel on the occasion and congratulated them on the occasion. DG Railways Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, ADGP CID P V Sunil Kumar, ADGP Law and Order Ravi Sankar Ayyannar, Road Safety (DGP) Ujala Tripathi and others attended the awards presentation programme.
The police department chose the police officials for the awards for their best detection of crime and solving the mysterious cases to nab criminals and doing justice to the victims.
