Vijayawada: Sri Kamakshi Swarnakara Sangham and Padmasali International Welfare Association on Saturday jointly distributed groceries and rice kits to gold workers, who lost livelihood due to Covid-19 lockdown, in a programe organized at One-town. Endowment Minister Velampalli Srinivas distributed the kits to the gold workers and praised the services of the Sri Kamakshi Swarnakara Sangham and Padmasali International Welfare Association.
He said a large number of people, particularly the daily wage workers in the city, are suffering due to lockdown caused by outbreak of coronavirus. Sri Kamakshi Swarnakara Sangham president K B Narayana, secretary Potuluri Chari, treasurer A Bullabbai, Padmasali association treasurer Neeli Kanaka Durga Prasad and others attended the programme.
