The YSRCP leadership has found a solution to crisis in Gannavaram constituency by appointing its Gannavaram constituency in-charge Yarlagadda Venkata Rao as Krishna District Cooperative Central Bank (KDCC) Chairman.
Vijayawada: The YSRCP leadership has found a solution to crisis in Gannavaram constituency by appointing its Gannavaram constituency in-charge Yarlagadda Venkata Rao as Krishna District Cooperative Central Bank (KDCC) Chairman.
The crisis arose in the wake of TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan revolting against his party leadership. Initially, Venkata Rao expressed his opposition to Vamsi's entry into the YSRCP.
He, however, relented after he was offered the post of KDCC Bank Chairman, according to sources. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had reportedly assured Venkata Rao to the post of State Cooperative Central Bank Chairman.
It may be recalled that Venkata Rao had unsuccessfully contested against Vamsi Mohan in the recent election. He has lost the election by a thin marginal. The contest turned into a personal conflict between the two candidates. But after the elections, Vamsi met the Chief Minister along with Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani).
The Chief Minister discussed the developments with Venkata Rao and persuaded him to accept the post of Cooperative Bank Chairman. According to sources, he is most likely be elected to the post of the State Cooperative Central Bank chairman.
