Village and Ward secretariat exams results will be announced before September 20. The state government has successfully conducted 14 exams for 19 types of jobs in 6 days from September 1 to 8.
Amaravati: Village and Ward secretariat exams results will be announced before September 20. The state government has successfully conducted 14 exams for 19 types of jobs in 6 days from September 1 to 8. The newly forming secretariats will commence functioning from October 2, as announced by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Ajeya Kallam, Principal Advisor to CM, Solman Arokiaraj, Principal Secretary to CM, Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Shyamala Rao secretary, MAUD, Girija Sankar, Commissioner PR&RD & Vijaykumar Commissioner, MAUD addressed a press conference on Monday at secretariat on successful completion of the examinations for the Village and War Secretariats.
Speaking on this occasion, Ajeya Kallam stated that the exams have been conducted peacefully as per the schedule. He stated that it became one of the great achievements in the history of the state, since the government created more than 1.34 lakh jobs in a single attempt, within the first hundred days. He observed that there was no such massive recruitment happened in the state in the past twenty years. Ajeya Kallam termed recruitment as a silent revolution.
Girija Sankar said that out of the total 21.69 lakh, about 19.4 lakh candidates have attended the exams, which is around 88 per cent of attendance. This is the first of its kind response to any competitive exam in the country, including the UPSC or SSC or APPSC or others. He said that the state government has taken all steps to announce the results by September 20.
Vijaya Kumar explained that they have hired people to work for two shifts to scan the OMR sheets. The team is able to scan at least 3 lakh OMR sheets per day and could complete the work within one week. He further explained that the final key for all the exams to be declared shortly. After declaring the final key, the same will be used to calculate the marks of the candidates. On the other hand, the candidates also could understand their marks by going through the final key, since the candidates are given the duplicate copy of their OMR sheet.
After calculating the marks, the ranks will be declared category wise and the list will be given to the respective districts collectors. Based on that the district collectors will ensure the original certificate verification procedure. After completing the certificate verification, the government will handover the appointment order to the selected candidates.
Dwivedi informed that the selected candidates will be given formal training for a couple of days before they would be inducted in their respective posts. After their joining, there will be continuous training programmes for the newly joined employees by department wise. For instance, he explained that the Police department has proposed a training manual for one month. Like that, all the concerned departments will come up with their training manuals. This process will continue for more than six months, tentatively, he observed.
Reacting on the toughness of the exam papers, Dwivedi said that they have adopted regular procedure in preparing the exam papers. In this paper, at least 25 per cent of the questions must be very tough, which would benefit the highly talented candidates. Another 25 per cent of the questions are in tough nature and 25 per cent of questions are with average difficulty. The remaining 25 per cent questions are easy to answer by the candidates. This is generally a standard format, which is being followed across the country in conducting competitive exams, he explained.
He further made it clear that there would be no interview for the candidates who would be selected in the written exams.
