Government Hospital for Mental Care Superintendent S Radha Rani says that the Narsipatnam-based anaesthetist Dr Sudhakar is suffering from acute and transient psychotic disorder

Visakhapatnam: Commissioner of Police R K Meena said that a case has been booked under IPC Section 353, 427 and 506 against the Narsipatnam-based anaesthetist Dr Sudhakar, who created a flutter in the city on Saturday.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, the CP said that nobody was aware that Sudhakar was a doctor when the police arrived. "The police took action against the doctor based on a call received in the control room as he was creating nuisance in public. When the police tried to control him, the doctor snatched the mobile phone of police head constable and abused him," explained the CP.

Further, Meena said the doctor threw his shirt off in the middle of the road and used abusive language and added he was suffering from psychotic disorders.

Sudhakar was sent to KGH to undergo tests as he was in inebriated condition. From KGH, the doctor was referred to Government Hospital for Mental Care wherein its Superintendent S Radha Rani said that he was suffering from acute and transient psychotic disorder.

Earlier, in April month, he was booked in a case for creating a scene while on duty.
