Amaravati: For the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat, the Telugu Desam Party has confirmed the party MP ticket to Nandamuri Balakrishna's younger son-in-law Sri Bharat.

Sri Bharat is the husband of Tejaswini, the second daughter of Nandamuri Balakrishna, and also he is the grandson of GITAM University founder MVVS Murthy.

It's said that in getting the Lok Sabha ticket for his younger son-in-law, Balakrishna has pressured TDP chief and CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu from last two days.

Though Bharat's name was considered at the last movement, finally he was successful in getting the TDP MP ticket.

Even Vizag TDP leaders have also accepted the name of Bharat as the party MP candidate. On Monday the TDP leaders, Sitting MLAs had a meeting to decide the party candidate for Vizag Parliament segment.

It's said, during the meeting majority of the members have shown interest towards Sri Bharat. After the meeting, minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao speaking to media said they proposed the name of Bharat to Chief Minister.

With this, the TDP has released the 25 MP candidates list, in which Sri Bharat name was also there.

As YSR Congress Party candidate film producer and realtor MVV Satyanarayana is contesting for Visakhapatnam LS seat.

In 2014 election, Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha was won by BJP candidate Kambhampati Hari Babu with the support of TDP.

The leaders have expressed confidence that in the coming elections TDP will win Vizag MP seat.

It's known that Nandamuri Balakrishna's elder son-in-law Nara Lokesh is a Minister in AP government, and now it's interesting to see that the younger son-in-law Sri Bharat is also coming into the active politics.
