Kurnool: District Collector G Veera Pandiyan said that tourism should become a part in everyone's life. He accompanied by Nandyal MP Pocha Bhramananda Reddy and Joint Collector-2, Khaza Mohiuddin, participated as chief guest on the celebrations organised on World Tourism Day at Dr YSR Smriti Vanam on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, the Collector said that everyone should make tourism as a part in their life. By visiting tourist places will give a sort of relief to the mind from hectic schedule and stressful life.

The people who could not afford travelling distant tourist places should choose the nearest ones and get relax from the stress. If we could develop tourism, then there would be more chances to generate employment, stated Veera Pandiyan.

The state government is taking steps for tourism development. We have historical temples such as Srisailam, Ahobilam, Mahanandi and Mantralayam besides tourist spots like Belum Caves, Rock Garden, Nalamalla forest safari near Birlooti and YSR Smriti Vanam. We will strive to develop these places,'' he added.

MP Pocha Bhramananda Reddy said that he had toured several places across the globe. YSR Smriti Vanam is such a place where the greenery is eye catching and providing pleasant atmosphere. He lauded the staff for developing the park in a grand manner. He said a Rs.100 crore proposal for Swadesi Darshnam for developing hotel management has been sent to the central government.
